They say the eyes are the windows to the soul; they’re also the front door to a long line of tell-tale aging signs. Under eye puffiness can be caused by numerous factors: allergies, stress, lack of sleep, hereditary factors and a poor diet are just a few.
To send those bags packing I recommend the following:
1. Get enough sleep and prop your head up. Sleep is crucial for your skin to heal and repair itself. If you prop your head up with another pillow this will prevent fluid from accumulating around the eyes.
2. Be good to your body. Drink lots of water to stay hydrated and limit sugar, white flour and salt. These items can cause inflammation in the body which can result in puffiness and fluid retention. White flour and sugar can cause also stimulate glycation which can result in the premature aging of the skin and body.
3. Use a caffeinated eye gel such as Caffeine Blast. When applied to the skin, caffeine decreases swelling and constricts the blood vessels. This helps to reduce the appearance of under eye puffiness. Caffeine Blast also contains antioxidants for diminishing dark circles, menthol and lactic for cooling, stimulate circulation and exfoliation. Use twice a day or as needed for extra tightening.
